Well, it's the first time I open a thread in this section then I'll try to do it simply.

I had a at900t but don't play with it no more because I definitively have a lack of power with this head heavy yy.
At the moment I play with my oldy babolat satellite brio but it's not as light as I want (90 grs) and too flexible.

Then I want to buy a new one. I play doubles and have a little lack of power, I quite good at the net and have a good defense, even against very good smatchers.

    My ideas are :
    arc 7
    ns 9900
babolat x feel essential or power

I recently tried arc 7 and the nano but can't decide wich one is the best. the babo' is quite good too then I'm undecided :s

Can you guys help me giving some advices ?

    Cheers, Thom

While playing, can you tell the difference between the Arc 7 and the NS 9900? They are very different in specs.

I have all the racquets you mentioned, AT900T (sold), NS9900 (sold), Arc7 (actually the Arc100) and both Babolats.

Since you like the Babolat Brio Satellite, go for the X-Feel Power. It is a good racquet and should give you more power than the Essential.

If you prefer Yonex, then the Arc7 is probably better as the NS9900 is stiff and head light so it is not as easy to generate power.

Well, I don't have much "feeling" with both raquets but I can feel I have an impressive speed with ns (compared with at900t you can believe me the difference is BIG  ) and the arc is a little more head heavy, but perhaps too height.
The ns seems too stiff for me, but both are very good raquets.

    :)

Okay, thanks for your advices :)
I never tried the xfeel power but I think the essential would more suit to me because it is lighter :) but I will test the power, probably on Wednesday.

How do you compare arc 7 with the xfeel power and essential ? Are the Babos more head light or not ?

    Cheers :)

I don't have the Essential as I prefer stiff racquets. The BP is 290mm and with a mid stiff shaft, you should be able to generate decent power.

I have not used my Arc100 yet as I want to keep that for collection but I have used the Arc7 before and find it a very easy racquet to use, certainly easier than Arc10 and Arc 9 and it is also a fast racquet.

Okay. Now the question is what is the best : arc 7 or babo ?

I say the arc 7 having bought one. i found it a good racket but never really used it much so i sold it. never tried a babo so cant really give any input to that but I would say the arc 7 is the way to go.

I guess budget will determine which one you buy. In Asia, there's quite a big difference between the Arc7 and the Babolat X-Feel, the Yonex is around 50% more costly.

If your budget can extend to the Arc7, then go for it, else the Babolat in my opinion is good value for the money.

Lawl@ saying a babolot is lighter then ns9900. At first you might think it's numb and crappy. but it will grow on you. You say no power generated with this raccket. Did you see Tan Boon heong and his smash LAWL. dOUBLES machine this racket is. I even like it for singles. ALTHOUGH it takes time to get used to the head lightness. you're defense will go up that extra notch ;)

Bah stiffness is just barely different. I have tried a med flex and a extra striff and a stiff. I would say the big difference is from changing med to EXTRA stiff. Mostly stiff rackets are still find thom
