Do you shuffle, step, or just run? Explain why
I personally use step. One Step, Two Step :]. Its personally more Easyer for me. I cant shuffle very well for my overhead shots.(even tho i have perfect backhand clear) When I run I tend to slip. I usaually play on gym floors.

From center to front I do 1 shuffle if i'm keeping a slow pace; 1 large step/jump for a net kill or change of pace.
    1 step for sides.
Usually I keep my non-racket foot forward since it makes it easier to go backwards without the wasting of energy + slowness from shuffling. Take two steps backwards and the right foot is all ready and charged up for a jump or movement change.
I know that a lot of old players teach shuffling but that's so inefficient in my opinion. Running is only good for long distance (cross court) since it leaves you without any momentum to push you back.

Badmintonbible is also a good read.

I'd be happy to film it for you. I'm in San Jose too. :D

EDIT: But it will have to wait, I'm quite busy.
