Hi I bought a new racquet AT900p from a shop. The shop owner strung the racquet for me. I was happy as Larry. when I got home, i realised theres a mark at 12 o'clock. Can someone please advise me if the mark is a result of bad string job or????? thanks
From my experience, all armortecs have this line. As long as it's not a crack (doesn't seem like it) it's fine.
That's the mark from Yonex (to inidicate the center), not the stringer. S/he did not do anything wrong with that.
Over tightening the end posts can put a small crack at the 12 o'clock position if not using a load spreader. I would think the crack would be on the inside of the frame, not the outside. Probably everything is fine.
Looks like a mold seam to me - it's on any YY with that decaled grommet tape. It's marks on the inside of the frame that would worry me.
It looks fine as long as there is no creasing in the paint work due to over tightening it should be fine
as said above, this is the center of the racket (exact 12 o'clock location). it should also be at the same spot as the little triangle indicator on the side of the frame.
it is align to the triangle at 12 o'clock i went into the shop again and check out all other stocks apparently all AT series racquets have a little mark like that thanks for everyone's advice
Yonex needs to put a huge red dot on the centre mark at each end, or at least a stylised key that fits in with the rest of the racket - it's EVERYWHERE in tennis, and Panda rackets have them.
