Matches involving INA players: MS R16 Taufik Hidayat [1] vs Hsueh Hsuan-Yi - Taufik should advance to QF. Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [15] vs Boonsak Ponsana [5] - Boonsak will take this one. MD R16 Kenta Kazuno/Kenichi Hayakawa [8] vs Luluk Hadiyanto/Joko Riyadi Mak Hee Chun/Tan Wee Kiong vs Bona Septano/Rian Sukmawan - a tricky match for Bona/Rian. Mohd Ahsan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki vs Sudket Prapakamol/Songphon Anugritayawon - ditto for Ahsan/Yoke. WS R16 Ayane Kurihara vs Fransiska Ratnasari - this will be a tough match for Nana. WD R32 Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnapa vs Greysia Polii/Meiliana Jauhari - a tough draw awaits Grace/Mel, starting from this tricky tie. Annisa Wahyuni/Anneke Feinya Agustine vs Duang-Anong Arunkesorn/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul [5] - a learning experience for Annisa/Anneke and hopefully they can stretch the 5th seed to 3-sets. Nguyen Nhung Le Ngoc/Thi Hong Gam Thai vs Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Shendy Puspa Irawati - no problem for Nitya/Shendy in clearing the first hurdle. XD R16 Tontowi Ahmad/Greysia Polii vs Bao Duc Duong/Cao Hieu Pham - Tpwi/Hrace will be INA's best hope of a World-Class XD pair at the moment. They should advance. Han Sang Hoon/Jang Ye Na vs Devin Lahardi Fitriawan/Liliyana Natsir [5] - a tricky one for Devin/Butet...but they should nail this one down and hopefully advance to at least SF.
Malaysia's MD are here today. They need good results to get the 2nd slot in TC. I am supporting Mak Hee Chun/Tan Wee Kiong the most, but they face a tricky Indonesian scratch pair Bona/Rian. I'm confident that they can win if they do their best. Teo Kok Siang/Goh Wei Shem has a really tough match against Cho/Yoo, I don't expect them to make it but it will be good if they did. Hoon Thien How/Ong Soon Hock will have the easiest match among the trio, against Vietnam opponents. They will be in R16. I'm surprised with the least mentioned backup player, Lok Chong Chieh, his journey will probably end today though.
Why is only one match being played now? I'm confused. Yohan Hadikusumo Yohan/Wong Wai Hong wins really easily, 21-10; 21-8 over Le Ha Anh/Nguyen Hoang Hai
Apparently the livescore is working again. However, the score for some of the missed matches are not up. Nevermind, since I am waiting for Mak/Tan
18-14, three more to give them a game up. Indonesians are pretty tricky to beat. 19-14...two more. 20-14, game point! And......yes! They took the first game 21-14!
