It looks like the main matches are the 2 ms, Saina's ws and Lily's xd.
Devin/Lilyana are the only rests of Ina team

MAS' strength is in MS, MD and WS. Strange how it's the WD and XD that remains in the tournament. Anyway, best of luck to them. I think they both have even chances.

MD was disappointing too, especially Mak/Tan since they came so close...good effort for them though.

I think both WD and XD has the disadvantage today, especially XD.

XD is almost a certain loss while WD is 40-60 seeing the marathon match they played yesterday.

If you look at the matches that Indonesia and Malaysia failed to convert yesterday, there is only one that was so hard fought, it was impossible to tell who's gonna win it.

INA young WD was totally upstaged by the TPE semi-retired but still top pair.

Greysia Polii was isolated in the 2nd and 3rd games of her XD match. Tantowi didn't do enough. And Polii paid the price for a hard but ultimately failed attempt at both XD and WD. She was struggling visibly at the end of both matches.

In the end, I told avataar that the winner of the WD match will be between overeager youngters (yup, they almost let slip big game 1 and game 3 leads) against mentally adept but extremely tired opposition. Credit to Meiliana Jauhari for carrying the Indonesian pair almost all the way, clearly the best player of the quartet.

MHC/TWK did not look impressive in rotational discipline and power. One wonders why Harry Potter and his partner allowed the game to go to 3 when leading by 6 in the first.

HTH/OSH was totally outmaneuvered. Movement is very slow by modern MD standards.

WMC was defeated before the first shuttle was hit. Hardly any initiative to keep Saina out of her power zone. When WMC got the measure of her opponent, the final kill is wanting and only Saina's trademark run of unforced errors kept the score semi-respectable in game 2.

Extremely loose play from GLY costing the Malaysians. Pretty much gifting points.

Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying lost the first game rather tamely 12-21. Hope they can put up a better fight in the second.
