I think that's normal. Personally I like this slight quiver - the feeling of the working raquet... Almost feel that it's alive.

Vibration usually means you've missed the sweet spot
I have plenty of experience of this

You could hardly hit the shuttle across the court in a high clear if you miss the sweet spot. Yet when I do this (or when I smash) I always feel a small "wince" my As1 gives me (BTW AsTi - less, dunno why). The sound is good and we (my partner and I) can sometimes keep an AS-20 whole for half-a-game or a whole game though hitting smashes and clears. Always mishitting? Hmm... Doubt it. I thought this happened because racket deformed a little during the hit and when returning to its normal form released accumulated energy to the handle (not all of it goes to the shuttle).Originally posted by Neil Nicholls

But I don't insist, of course, this could be a mistake of mine - got a lot of problems with technique... You too then, x-er.

I guess I don't notice the "normal" vibration then. That may be affected by how tightly you hold the racquet. I've been told that I hold it a bit too tightly.

2Neil Nicholls -> I see. I'm not sure whether my grip could be called tight or not... I guess if it is too tight than you must be tired after a game or two?
The funny thing is that when I mishit I don't experience vibration, or better to say - don't remember...
But maybe due to the fact that there's always too many problems to tackle after a mishit...

I don't hold it so tight that my forearm muscles bulge. Some people at my club do. It's as if they think someone is going to steal it, so they hold it as tight as they possibly can.

holding the racket tightly
holding the racket tightly has no effect on how you feel after you hit hte bird...
you would stillfeel a tiny vibration after each hit if the racket has that feature.
yea i do admit i'm a noob but i am pretty sure that holding a racket has no effect on the response when you hit a bird
