The first person who stopped, tapped me on the shoulder and told me how her dog had just died that morning. How that morning had been the one year anniversary of her only daughter dying in a car accident. How what she needed now, when she felt most alone in the world, was a hug. I just happened to be in Lan Kwai Fong having a drink with a friend when this event came round. There was some event going on - free hugs to make people feel better! There was a film crew around as the event was sponsored by the local cable company. So there I was taking some photos, the model notices me and gives me a nice pose for the camera. It was on spot metering Av f2.0, ISO800, shot in RAW and only processed to the jpeg image. I used the 50mm f1.8 lens. Damm, I wished I brought my 50mm f1.4 but because I was in LKF experimenting, I thought I'd bring the cheaper lens out 'just in case' somebody wanted to test pouring beer over the camera and lens.
