Before I got my current pair of SHB200's in January, it didn't matter to me. But now, I try as much as possible to only wear it on court in order to protect and keep the soles clean and in excellent condition.

I wear my shoes when I enter in the stadium/arena. It doesn't matter if wearing the shoes out of court but indoor.

So before you got fancy shoes, you didn't care about protecting the courts and keeping the floors clean and in excellent condition??:mad:;):D

On some of the courts I've played on you'd clean them by wearing your badminton shoes outside, by carrying the dirt out! Footballers make it very muddy.... Have to waste our booked time cleaning the courts first.

I usually change my shoes once I enter the sports hall. Depending on the hall this is either in the hall itself (off court) as there is nowhere else "clean" before hand (I do wipe my shoes on the door mat before hand). Otherwise in the other halls in the foyer before you enter.

I wouldn't recommend wearing them outside as you'll break them faster and other shoes are far better to walk in.

I wear just a normal pair of trainers or pumps on my way to the sports centre and then put my shoes on when I get to the badminton courts. I don't like turning up to find that footballers or other badminton players have left the court in a horrible, dirty condition so I don't feel obliged to leave it like that for other people. As has already been said, only wearing your shoes inside also prolongs their life and makes them grip better when you're on court.

For the small amount of time and effort that it takes to change your shoes once inside, I think the benefits for you and fellow users of the court are worth it.

Wearing badminton shoes before/after we reach the court ???

    .
If you treat your Badminton shoes for the purpose for playing Badminton only, then you should wear them after you reach the court.

If you treat your Badminton shoes for usage everywhere, then it shouldn't matter if you wear them before you reach the court.

Yes, this could appear as a stupid answer. :p:p:p

    Eheh lol..

The best thing to do is to wear the shoes only on courts for durability. A guy in my club wears it in the street, etc, it's horrible there's somewhat chewing gum on it   :( :crying: :D

Im poor, so I only wear my shoes, when I am near the courts or about to play xD, so they don't get damaged or killed too early ^^

    'Everywhere' shoes

    .
I do it in a different way.

When I find the grip from my Badminton shoes are no longer good, they become my 'everywhere' shoes. :):):)

    I do the same..
When my badminton shoes are KO I use it for any occasion when I have to go in gymnasium (because of course it's forbidden to go in
with street shoes)... They are more comfortable than the new one :)

I never wear mine off-court unless I'm cycling or driving to the sports hall - the rubber on the 99LTDs is too easily chewed away by the pavement/road:p.
