In our preliminary discussions, the location and shuttles is to be chosen by home team. So each other team will take turns to go to each other team's home ground.

that's sound good... away team has to go all the way to the home team venue thus is sounds fair...

any I think one more IMPORTANT aspect... is DAY & TIME...

sometimes is hard for them to compromise of this...

anyone got any idea how to solve this things?

meaning that every "home" team has to pay for both shuttle and court fees. That is fair enough. However to ensure player's safety while playing, we hope that the venue to be a proper badminton court with rubber flooring.

    Jerry,

I have some concerns and suggestion on the point system and allowance for ex-state and ex-national players.

How about doing it like this:

    1. Each match will be 4 points (best 2 out of 3 sets).
    2. Maximum for one team is 20 points (5 matches of MD x 4 points)
    3. However if the team's match includes an ex-state player, then handicap 1 point for the match he is competing in. If ex-national, then handicap 2 points.

    So for example :
    a. If Team A has 1 ex-national player then, even if he wins, their match will only win 2 points if they win. But if Team B wins then it is 4 + 2 = 6 points.

    b. If team A has 1 ex-national and 1 ex-state player, then maximum is only winning 1 point instead of the normal 4 points. But if Team A wins by some miracle :) then it is 4 + 3 points.

    c. If both teams have the same number of ex-national / ex-state players, then it is contra back...so no handicap.

This is to be fair to all teams that do not actually have ex-state and ex-national players.

Also, suggest to have a separate sub-group for teams that have girls. Can do some mixed doubles games as well.

    How?

I think if we can work out the schedule WAY in advance (>1 month) and make it on a weekend night (Sat/Sun) then there shouldn't be a problem with anyone.

i'm thinking of if one team consists of 2 ex-state players, then the team has separate them into different pairs, in that way, i think it will be a lot easier.

And also, to ensure everyone in the team has the chance to play, i suggest that each players in the team has to play at least 1/4 (25%) of the overall matches. Of course, this will be further notify subject to how many team are participating...

Well, if the team really wants to field the 2 ex-state players together, it is fine. But that match is handicapped by 2 points. Even if they win then it is only 2 points instead of 4. Is it worth it? Depends on that team's strategy.

Every player has to register with their name and IC provide before the league start, and their info will be publish here, if there is no dispute from any team, the league will just proceed. If there is really a violation of this rule happens, the team will be deducted point and the player cannot play for the team for the rest of the games.

Even player from Dubai also we get to trace, I'm sure its not a problem to verify ex-state / national players as long as they register their name and IC.
