i tried with another racket at 29 and it sure too stiff for me, my karpal sore like hell. Believe it or not i have been playing for years without knowing much about string .. i always go with BG66 but all this years i thought more tension = more power.. lol. It has always been hit and miss. Can you be specific? whats difference would it make at 22lbs and 26lbs except for more power. how about other type of BG66 like M or S or others ?
i dont know if cab20SP is considered as "Örignal" cab20 at 22lbs is it a bit low ? i was thinking maybe 26bls ...
Both the cab20 and cab20SP are oval frame racquets that have a smaller frame than iso frame racquets. BG66 is a thin string of 0.66mm diameter versus BG65's 0.70mm diameter. String tension should be adjusted for frame size and string thickness. Thinner strings should be strung at about 2lbs lower tension than thicker strings. Oval frame racquets should be strung at 2-3lbs lower tension than iso frame racquets. Only you can decide for yourself what tension suits you. Test it a few times to find the tension that best suits you. Find out the frame type and string thickness of the racquet/strings used in testing and then make appropriate adjustments for your cab20SP, using the above guidelines.
Hm, I get it. so it should be "slightly" lower tension then. I figure that i might try with 24lbs this weekend.
I've done my BG-66 at different tensions. I find that 24 is good for all round purposes. I usually play at 26 but my BG 66 strings have been breaking left and right and i'm out of them so i'm playing at 24 till I get my next shipment.
BG-66 is has a very good reputation to be known as the "breaking string" Although if used by a good player (never misshitting) and strung very well. It can last as long as NBG 95 strung by an average stringer and an average player. If your able to always hit the sweet spot with ur poval shaped racket. and know of a very good stringer try 25 lbs. I have always loved my strings at 25 rewgardless of plastic or feather. Althoguh if you play with fether go with 1 or 2 pounds higher tension then what u use for plastic. I hope this somewhat helped.
ok now as i have time to play now i know what tension i want with what string. But now am confused with BG66 as there are couple of types.. (S,M,original) WHich one is the best actually, or difference ?
