    I'd consider it strength training but not weight training.

    Hmm does it help in badminton?
    * does it affect the spinal cord and disable young ypuths from growong?:confused:

    They can improve your forearm strength if used properly, but to answer your original question- no its not Weight training.

    This is actually called resistant training to strengthen your fingers. Its not for forearm and wrist training.
    In order to master the gripping technique and hit certain shots the right way, one must have strong fingers but yet flexible when holding the racket.:)
