    So it was true about XXF........ I didn't want to believe it at all. But I'm glad not to see PG on there.

    yeah, i believe he had health problems and had surgery done awhile ago. i'm sure other BCF members can give more specific comments about his retirement.

    hopefully he'll play long enough for the next olympics, but that is very unlikely

    Yea, i remember gillian commenting about something to that effect during one of his matches

    just the other week I was wondering whatever happened to Chen Yu. He got on the world level the same time Chen Jin did and won some good matches back then.
    Was he forced into retiring because of the younger generation?

    I still liked Jens E. and Martin L.H. as a pairing, but their retiring isn't that shocking

    any updates on chen hong? He played few tournaments after quitting chinese team, got married and no news of him after that.
