Just got my N50II racket. I will just compare it with N90II.

    a) Slightly head heavy than N90II
    b) Slightly Longer shaft than N90II

    I'm using Li-Ning AP62 string tensioned at 24 x26lbs

Control: slightly poorer than N90(II) maybe bcos of the longer shaft.

Speed/movement: better than N90II due to the frame aerodynamic structure

Power: heavier and long shaft = more power smash & base clearance.

Verdict: This is a powerful racket (not as powerful as N90) that can be used to play single/doubles. suitable for aggressive player! I don't have the generation 1 N50, therefore i can't compare it.

    Recommeded string: BG66M/Zymax62/AP62

i dun want to comment on the shaft stiffness as i believe the shaft tensile is the same.

the longer the shaft should be more flexible.

Just to add on my opinion of the N50-II with comparison with the N50 (Gen I) :

The N50-II is definitely a more head heavy racket that focus more on attack and power compared to the generation I N50, which focus is more on control and speed.

    To put it this way, Control: N50-II (9.0/10) < N50 (9.5/10)
    Power: N50 -II (9.5/10) > N50 (9.0/10)

Overall, it boiled down to what the players want in their games, if they want more power, go for the N50-II; and if they want more control, go for the N50. Both are great rackets in their own rights.

    Same thought here.

I actually hope that this [general less than as expected performance] opinion of the N90II can be backed up by more users as I'm now more inclined to forgo my investment in it and purchase a N50II instead.

First off dont get your dander up....Just my thoughts about LiNing...This racket comes from the Kason factory and as far as I can see has nothing new to offer us....Why all of a sudden Kason can now build great rackets and last year they were just average...Maybe its because of all the Hype....all this money spent to sponsor great players does not make the equipment great....LiNing is great for the badminton sport but it is just a case of buying a name....:D

Then obviously you have not tried a Li-Ning racket before. Pls go and try them out, see for yourself if they are really worthy enough, especially the N-series before making such a sweeping statement.

I just got my N90(II) this week. It feels pretty head heavy on swings, and delivers very powerful smashes. The other racquets i have are MP100 both 2U/3U, Arc10, AT900T, and a MP88. I'd say the smashing power and control are pretty similar to the 2U MP100 with the benefits of it being a 3U racquet so you don't get as tired over the playing duration.

I would not have made the statement without having personally tried them out already....There is absolutely no new technology in LiNing rackets...
There is only so much a manufacturer can do with the existing technology...and it has all been done already...
If LiNing had not bought the world ranked players then nobody would lift an eyebrow at their rackets...:DThey would simply have been another china racket trying to make it in an already overly crowded market....

Flexsis... i owned N90, N90II and N90II classic... it is not that i dun like N90II... just that i want to show comparism to the Li-ning racket lovers...

Use the N50II and you will feel the aggression!! it feel like At900t but with more power!

I'm still using N90II as i'm trying to improve my technique... i need the control the racket give me...

Lol, I have the N90II too, I don't feel it's so horrible lol xD, I know you have all the rackets, but I think N90II is actually quite powerful o.o, unlike what you seem to have said =/, but I don't think a racket like N50II/N90II with similar qualities will actually increase your power, I produce same amount of power with any racket including a head light racket including isometrics or nanospeeds. =), only purely my opinion ^^

I think N90-II just have less power in comparision to the N90, I have N90, N90-II, N70 and N50-II and N90 produces the most power out of all of them...

I have no doubt that N90 is the most powerful =), and the best, but I think N90II should be more powerful than N50/50II and other rackets

Pretty sure it's all in the player on how they use it, what's powerful for one might not be powerful for others...
