Someone asked me about this strange issue, and I don't think I can answer him. So, just post it here: He was playing this game and did a cross net drop on his opponent. The bird softly hit the upper part of the net, and barely rolled over. However, the feather was kinda badly worned out (flip outside), and the bird kinda caught the net and hanging there (on his opponent's side), never dropped on the floor. Is this consider as a point? Or, no point for each side, and re-do?
since the bird never hit the ground, you can't call it in or out really, unless you wanna just wait until the bird eventually fall due to some seismic force. best thing would be a re-do.
Its a Let (re do ) accoriding to the laws posted on worldbadminton.com 16.2 If a shuttle, after passing over the net, is caught in or on the net, It is a "let" except during service.
I see i see. According to him, the bird is kinda far from being out, and his opponent fell on the floor in the back court, so, there's no way he can ever return the shot. Well, too bad for him for such a nice setup. What a waste... Maybe he should just smashed it insteading showing off...
