Have you ever had this before? one side of the head is noticeably heaver than the other.

If you try to balance the racket by placing the shaft across a finger, it always rolls round so the heavy side is down (obviously).

does this mean the racket is faulty? Surely it can't be good for torque.

    thanks

The only time I seen this is on fake Yonex. Other wise, the balance of the head should be fairly even (no more than 15 degree tilt) even on other brand.

I tested on Head PH8000 which you are having and it happen same thing. It moves in same direction regarding how I turn the racket.

I also try this with T2v2 and it is the same thing but does not move so fast around.

I tested it like this that I put racket on table and put another square thing under it that grip was not directly on table.

And Head PH8000 moves quite fast in same direction always.

T2 also moves in same directions always but as I said it is slower.

Are you testing it with your strings and overgrips on? If so, take them off and try again, that'll give you a more accurate result

the racket comes factory strung for me. there is no overgrip on it. this effect doesn't happen for my panda trinity or my nanospeed 300

    edit:
I just tried not using my finger - the effect does happen for my t2. But it rotates a lot more slowly.

Try to put another two on table.

My T2v2 moves in one way but I have strings and grip on it.

This is almost always due to the use of molds of low precision during baking. The end result is you get more and/or uneven material on one side of the frame.
Also balancing on a finger is not very accurate. It has to be done on a knife-edge" that is placed on top of an evenly balanced table using a spirit-leveling balance.
It also can be corrected and re-balanced to perfection, even better than the standard top Yonex models. In re-balancing less or equal is better than more.
