Nice! Sound like lots of fun. Surprised that only Huangkokhau was the only one in a singlet given the heat.

Can't believed that the world team only managed to win 1 game but gotta say that the Malaysia team seems to be younger overall (or maybe the World team looks older because they were brow-beaten by the Malaysian team)

I think your times belong to another world. We played in the morning just past 10am not in the evening as your posts suggested. And the entire programme finished in time for some of our members to witness the destruction of LYB/ZN's China Uber Cup Team beginning at 2 pm.

Yong, Chu and I (Loh) returned to Yong's place to view the shocking scenes of China's debacle on TV.

2nd row: robin7, scann, terry, Gregory, hcyong, choyonn (between leng lui & suetyan), nokh88, keonloh, ants
3rd row: ctjcad, samuel882 cyclone9, helen88, her partner, Joseph, ?, spchu, ?, ?, lindantrucool, Kim, sumardi, ?, Badfever, AppleMerah, epaphroditus
4th row: porroy, madbad, Jimmy Goh, kong-19, thlim, jk1980, Blurry D, Hagen, 1984AllEngland, ?, mengkiat, rawtiger, loosai, drifit

missing: huangkwokhau, fastdrop, Haru, Vincent Yong, Flying_Fox..and those who are reading but not in the photo..

Some of the World Team found their form too late. For example, madbad. Played another match in doubles against limsy and defeated limsy after coming from behind. Not even limsy's best tricks as captured by drifit could help.

Others in the World Team found themselves too late to be on the lineup (aka the Nigerian effect). Kim got lost and was relegated from Team player to Umpire.

But he still managed to play some friendlies.

Apparently, no one noticed the Tournament Referee's absence from the Group Photo ......

I must say the standards of officiating in this tournament was a lot higher than BWF's best despite lack of service and line judges. Probably because some of the umpires are certified "bouncer types" and rule with "Judge Dredd" authority.

We had less problems than Edy Rufianto in managing players like Yu Yang in the Uber Final.

Ah, but the Uber scenes were more graphic at the stadium. We got to see more of LYB bashing the kids from every angle.

Missed the medal ceremonies of the BC Cup, any pics?

The results of all the official BC tournament matches have been signed and endorsed. Now with samuel882, as part of record-keeping for Malaysian, err, bragging rights.

Part of the efficiency quotient improvement in this BC tournament is the self-service initiative, adopted from our self-service petrol/gas station practices introduced to cut down reliance on foreign labour.

Players are free to change shuttles and ask for court mop up service, as long as they do it themselves.

The pair we imported and expected to deliver a point for us did not come through. I think we had been double-crossed . On the other hand, since the MAS been whitewashed by CHN the night before, they had really put their revenge on us . Anyway, thanks for all of you to make this event happened, I really enjoyed it very much! By the way, the games were much closer than the scoreline suggested.....hahaha...."sour grapes"
