Quite clearly it is NOT the shirt he was wearing in the final . He wore it at the championships but not in the final (iirc) ...
YEs. We've made that clear to the winner of the bid. Thanks for pointing it out. We realized once the auction had already started. NEver the less, the French who got the winning bid is thrilled for the shirt as I don't know who got the medal yet.
Nice! These auctions are a good idea. In the american sports a lot of money is involved in gameworn items (for example http://auction.nhl.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/CategoryDisplay?cgrfnbr=68656285&cgmenbr=12717464). Perhaps if news of the auction had reached China or so it might have fetched even more (but who knows, it might already have).
