Who will retire first; Lin Dan or Lee Chong Wei?

After talking to a few Badminton players, there was a general belief that our current top 2 players, Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei, will retire at the same time, that is after the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

How do our BCers think or guess?:confused::confused:

Our current top 4 Badminton players in the world

    .
    Personally, I think that our current top 4 Badminton players in the world, namely;

    LD from CHN,
    LCW from MAS,
    TH from INA, and
    PG from DEN,

will all retire at the same time, that is after they have participated in the 2012 London Olympics.

After our 2012 Olympic Games, there will be another top 4 players to rule our Badminton world.

Who will take their 4 places?

I'm gonna say Lin Dan cuz China has alot of players that are avalible. Having said that Lin Dan still might be eager to play after the London Olympics.

Well LCW has openly said (on the interview) that he will retire after 2012 OG, to do business. As for TH, he has been complaining (to the news paper) to the fact that he's still being call for the TC team and no one can yet replace him as INA numero uno.

The rest I dont know :)

by the way Chen Long is too weak.

LCW will be like TH, being asked to not retire yet

    .
Like what ingridt said; China has many excellent MS players to replace LD.

By 2012, if no excellent MS Malaysian player is found (as good as, if not better than, LCW), then LCW will be like TH, being asked to not retire yet.

my prediction is after 2012 OG , Lining will ask LD not to retire.
he is only the superstar of badminton of the decade.

i bet satay and roti prata.

lets see any newcomer with 60 percent of LD qualities.

Prediction :LCW have to retire after 2012 OG.
best to retire with World no 1 status.
hoping to win at least 1 world Champ and 1 OG.

Lining will ask LD not to retire

    .
More often than not, CHN players retired younger than MAS players. But this was based on the old scoring system.

Under the new scoring, things have changed a bit.

Who would have thought that our great Zhang Ning would continue to play to an age of 33 and to win her 2nd Olympic Gold medal?
