Dave, Since the following day is Deepavali.... Can the court be extended till like midnight or more?

Yes, we can extend an hour or more after the session is over and we are already doing it every session.
Normally about 6 to 10 players stay back after the session to extend for an hour and we all share the cost.

Advancing ranking system :

In order to maintain fairness and to accommodate the different level of players joining this session, it is decide that we implement the following format of play.
(This will also prevent players rushing into courts and denying others of their turns to play)

This system is fairly simple to follow, all players is required to “move up” or “move down” to the next court depending on whether he/she win or lose each game.

1. Each player will start on any of the available courts. Another four players will queue to wait for their turn to play.

2. Players that win or lose each game will either “move up” one court# or “move down” one court#. (towards court 7, which is the champion’s court.)

i.e. if you play in court #9 and win, just move over to court #8 and wait for your turn to play.
i.e. if you play in court #7 and lose, just move over to court #8 and wait for your turn to play.

3. Players can choose to remain as partner of change partner anytime as long as all 4 player agree before starting a game.

Note: Players should try to start the appropriate court# that they feel comfortable for their level of play. This will not affect the ranking system as players starting at any court# will have to “move up one court#” or “move down one court#.

Level of play for this session: Average to advance - strictly not for beginners.
