Thread: Hoon Thien How/Ong Soon Hock

Yes. We might better expect more results from Mak Hee Chun & Tan Wee Kiong (20 & 21), or Chan Peng Soon/Lim Khim Wah. (Not sure about CPS's age... is it 23 or 24?)
We shall see in the Singapore SS. Looking at their draw, they face a first-round exit. Can they upset Clark/Robertson? I doubt so, but again, we shall see. If they win, it proves that they are inconsistent. If not...well...

after the SO, i lost hope in this pair already

Bad performance against Clark/Robertson.
I agree with danielwong, sorry to be very harsh but this pair has no future staying together. Slow, uninteresting gameplay with endless supply of MISTAKES.

Thien How-Soon Hock crash out in Jakarta
Thien How-Soon Hock went down 14-21, 25-21, 15-21 to Indonesia’s Mohd Ahsan-Bona Septano in a 49-minute match.
Their second consecutive early round defeat in a Super Series tournament after their outing in the Singapore Open last week may dash their hopes of getting into the team for the Commonwealth Games and also the Asian Games.
1st,the commonwealth squad had already decided

they are official out of my fav list...
but one day they might play good badminton and upset some big shots..
hope this day will come....
06-24-2010, 06:27 AM #44
No, that day probably won't come for either a long time or not for ever. Hoon/Ong lost their chance, now it's time for Mak/Tan and Chan/Lim to shine!

They played reasonable ok. But not superb. Many unforced errors. Thriller was on the 2nd set. If they played like how they played in 2nd Set.. they could have won. However AhsanBona had the crowd behind them and keep pressuring the Malaysians. When the crowd cheered.. initially i heard "MakanBola" then.. oh.. Ahsan Bona. It was an exciting match.
