And hopefully INA shuttlers will produce best result in their first ever home GP Gold Big possible MAS, SIN, IND, ENG top players will be absence here due to its schedule clash with 2010 Commonwealth Games.
I'm wondering, though, whether flights or [gulp] Pelni ships to Samarinda keep the costs that minimal. Are there home shuttlers who train in Kalimantan and are good enough to play in a GP Gold? Anyway, it's a fairly big place so it should be a real treat for fans there. I can imagine most are not able to time trips to Java to coincide with a big tournament there. I suppose keeping it within the country makes a difference, even though the SSMF in KK were technically closer for Samarinda fans than Java and tournaments in Singapore or JB are closer than Samarinda for shuttlers based in Java.
Korea may not send their players due to National championsips..same with Thailand....but Sudket told me thate they are not sure if Professional players ( like saralee. boonsak, etc) are allowed to participate the national championships and it all depends on their sponsor..SGE something? anyway if thye are not allowed,..they are planning to come..
Yes, the National Sports Festival ends on Oct 12th. Last year, the same event caused Korean players to skip two SS and the World Juniors.
Been told that Japan Badminton association will not send their national players as INA Gold GP is not in their calendar but japanese clubs will send their players
I hope china send lixuerui, liuxin,or some players here.. if no its an advantage for pratama and utama to boost up their world ranking..Such as suci/della,jena/vala,belatrix,ricky/jena..
Top players out, but I am confident that the backup players like Mak Hee Chun/Tan Wee Kiong, Goh Wei Shem/Teo Kok Siang, Chan Kwong Beng, etc. will be sent here as they are not participating in the Commonwealth Games.
Good for the junior athletes, they will gain much points (Although they don't win). So Indonesian player will have a good rank in the world
Do someone knows, what countries are participating in INA GPG? Are the nationals player will join? Or just the Professional player only? Or club player only?? Hopefully INA player can boost their world rank from this tournament. I wish all INA players (Better the junior one) such as Suci/Della, Rian/Angga, Ayu/Dwi, Jenna/Lala, Rizky/Richi, Bella, Hera, Tike etc will win or they reach quarterfinals and semifinals. Hop the result almost same with national competition in Tegal. Pelatnas take 4 places.
