The new forum's collor doesn't seems to be right. It is not contrasting well, and I feel patchy and lazy when watching them.

Badcentral should be an exciting place for fans, instead of a sleeping bag.

Can moderators think about our feelings carefully? Thanks.

    You mean your feelings?

Maybe the mods can start a poll - but do it after 3 months or so; right now the readjustment will almost certainly cause 'No' votes; I personally didn't like it at first but it does look pretty good to me now.

can you think about kwun's feeling carefully?
    this thread, post #50
    this thread, post #59, 60 & 63

give some time. give some constructive suggestions rather than asking other members to back you up for not liking the new layout. we are discussing and working on it. for sure it will not suit everyone. we have 53,000 members and kwun will not able to satisfy 53,000 kind of taste.

I'm fine with it. Took some time to get used to navigating it but the changes in general are fine! I would vote to keep the changes.

There's always going to be some that don't like change and will come up with reasons on why when really it's just that they are too lazy to learn a new format.

Really, this is a forum... tbh I really don't care how it looks as long as it works and is fast.

It can still be bloody slow to the point that the server couldn't parse the PHP request - Firefox pops up with "what do you want to do with this file" - happened once yesterday after a very long pause. Give it time Imagine... the reindexing is probably still going on.

    :) Now play nice.

Perhaps you have the latest software which is compatible to it, I'm using the latest Firefox version, cant use IE 8, will jam up. It's not to do with streamyx, other sites loads up fine. I agree with chris@ccc on the other thread, there's more applications, so it loads up slower than the old format. First few days when it launched was worse, keep 'loading', loading but the page never comes up, lol.

Anyway, doesnt matter that much, whatever boss Kwun decides with his pet project is ok.

Considering the existence of this place actually depends on the thousands apart from him...

Either way, it's improving - were PHP accelerators/caching installed? They can help tremendously.

my main point : it's slower than old format with same usage habit. It used to be one of the fastest, now is slowest, Facebook game also overtake it :p
I'm not going to install anything extra as it may clash with my other software. Happened before, caused havoc. I just wait & see if got button to enable switching back to old/classic view, like Yahoo Mail ;)

It's like Facebook & YouTube...they all go through design changes and what not, and everyone starts hating it in the beginning (Especially Facebook where they create groups/fan pages HOLY...) but after a couple of months, everyone will adjust & won't have a problem with it, till something new comes up again :p

is the speed better now? i have upgraded the php accelerator to the latest version and turned on more caching than before.

it seems speedier from my side.

I disabled all those options. Youtube, I dont use it much nowadays, maybe that's why, lol. Yahoo Mail just came out with new design, I chose to revert to Classic(Old) view.

Hahahaha, it's slower today than yesterday, slowest among Yahoo, google, Facebook. It's ok lah Kwun, no need to go thru so much trouble.
