advices?

hey all,

i played a singles match recently and i lost badly. my opponent was much faster than me and also more aggressive.

any idea how do i counter them? thanks

thats a very open question there lol. If he beat u badly, I wud guess he is a better standard than you in which case ul need to practice hard to improve to reach his standard of play

Practice, practice, practice.... no substitute for it. I don't mean playing either, I mean drills for footwork and shots. Also, you need to build endurance doing things like stairs.

1. If your 2 are in the same (or close enough) skill range, than you have to find a way to slow the pace down, and try to take away his aggressive game play. For example, say he has a killer smash, but so-so at net, you may want to bring him closer to the net with well controlled drop.

2. If your 2 are in totally different levels, than before you even thinking about beat him, you have to train yourself to be at least closer to his level first.
