Which grip do you recommend out of these two, i have really sweaty hands, one day i used my last and really dirty white supergrap, got my racket restrung the next day, and the owner goes, *why is the grip so wet*. So which do you recommend: Dry Grap or Towel Grip
Yeah man, I also recommend the towel grip. Some people find that it gets kinda crusty after a while because of all the sweat drying so you may have to buy a roll so you can replace it often. Another alternative with the towel grip is what I just bought on ebay. It is called an Elastic Towel grip. All you do it slip it over your regular grip like a cover and play, then when it starts to get crust and hard, you can acctually take it off, wash it, and then use it again. Pretty cool I think.
i will definitely say towel grip - the best for sweaty hands... the disadvantage is, you will going to change grips most often compare to those PU or leather grips.
I am playing 2 - 3 x a week, 2 - 4hours a day, before i am changing my grip twice a month or sometimes weekly, until i've accidentally cross a forum here in BC on how to take care of a towel grip after every game to last it longer. If i'm not mistaken... i've read that every after the game, exposed your racket especially the Grip on a room with the aircon switch on then get a electric fan, switch it on, put it in a maximum power, then focus the fan to your Racket grip, and leave it for overnight or maximum 24 hours. and the result, it dries faster, it does not harden so much, no smelly thing during the first 3-4 wks, since I've started this practice, my towel grip last longer, sometimes i am changing it after 6 - 8 wks. moreover, I am now using a backpack style of badminton bag, that is when you put your racket on to the bag, the grip are exposed.
Ah okay Thanks a bunch.. Seems like you would have to change your grip rather often. More than i expected though.. One of the problems with the towel grip, is that it hardens? or?
i use towel grip it is good but if you have sweaty hands sometimes the grip is wet when you play another game
Karakal super grip is fantastic if you want to stay away from the towel grip option. As Drew said above me, it can stay wet and won't feel as good. That being said, if you have two racquets you can always alternate. I have sweaty hands too and I find the karakal grip lasts quite a long time and is still quite tacky even after a solid month and half.
I do that I have 2 rackets with towel grip but now my thumbs is getting a blaster so i might change back to a Yonex Overgrip I have gripped racket since october
have you tried the yonex 420ex?? it's thicker than the overgrip...same velvety feel and similar in tackines like karakal...I am testing on my arc10 right now and I like it...
