i looked on the forum for a thread relating to my problem.. but it didn't work so now i'm seeking help.

I've been playing with AT 700s' for 3 years loving it's power and recently (1 year) switched to the Arc10. Apparently it has the control but i feel that i lack power.

So i'm looking for a racquet that has the hold of the Arc10 and the power (similar or close to) the AT700.
Is the AT900 power the solution for this? Or what racquet is it?

I just need a recommendation, and i know that control is mostly from how good a player is and how his technique is. I have all that but i miss the racquet.!! :crying:

adding to that, i'm a power player, plays mostly singles, i care a lot about durability (since it's singles won't be a big problem) and i can spend from $200 - $260 for a racquet!

Which version of the AT700 is yours? The AT700 is still in production albeit in a newer version which still feels similar.

If you want to try the newer AT900 however, you should probably try the AT900 Power. In terms of feel it has about the same power generation capability although the main difference of it to the older AT700 is that instead of having a flexier shaft, the AT900P's shaft feels stiffer and the flex is in the frame. It is the flex of the shaft which gives the AT700 the explosive power; this is almost recreated in the frame of the AT900P.

Sorry, but cannot resist to ask, why you give up on At700 to begin with? If you have the power and the technique, I assume AT700 should have enough potential with "good control" and defense?

I loved my AT700 and AT900P, but now that I'm in college, I have to use my money wisely. Since it would be extremely expensive to replace any of those rackets if I broke any of them, I decided to try out other rackets and I fell in love with the Panda Power Trinity 2. I'm a believer.

Sotx Woven 13. It's got good power but still very maneuverable. The touch is second to none. This is well within your budget. I bought one from www.e78.com.hk. Search the forum for reviews.

Arc 8DX. A lot of people have said very good things. If you have the strength and technique, maybe this is the one for you.

The 8DX is extra stiff compared to the Arcsaber 10 stiff shaft
but the Arcsaber 8DX can be strung at high tension as it's highest recommend tension 27lbs and the Arcsaber 10 highest recommend tension is 24lbs

ARC8DX is nowhere as powerful as AT900P. It is just a little head-heavy.
The frame is also not as solid as I thought it would be. Mine broke after crashing with my partner's racket lightly.
It is no doubt a good racket in overall performance. But by no mean a powerful racket IMO.
