    Surprisingly not.

Other places in world don't seem to have these products judging by the lack of responses.

I asked Luxis but he didn't know. I just assumed if he couldn;t get hold of any, then there would be little chance of getting any in HK.

a badminton shop that strings rackets don't have any grommets? something is wrong with that picture. a good stringer is supposed to replace bad grommets for their customers..

    did you try Emmy?

maybe it's about market control to discourage do-it-yourselfer.

    cheung, let me rephrase:
**maybe it's about CREATIVE market control to discourage do-it-yourselfer.**
The profit margin on stringing machines, strings, hand tools are pretty good.
What is the profit from selling a bag of grommet?
All they have to do is refrain from selling grommet to guys like you.
I'm not pointing fingers but it sure looks that way.

    Shop in the UK

Gefen Sports in north London has a lot of badminton grommets and tools for replacing them. Don't know about grips.

    Re: Shop in the UK

We used to remove the grommets from broken racquets heads and use them when necessary. Yonex seems to have good grommets while the ones from Carlton were not.

I do not remember quite well but I think 1 shop in Tsimshatsui East (somewhere close to Admiral?? Hotel) did sell grommets. That was probably about 20 years ago so not sure if the shop still there.

TST East? Hmmm, not noticed one there.

If I can;t find any here, I'll pop over to Gefen in the summer. I just happen to be going to London in July.

Second hand grommets is the other option. Sourcing broken racquets from dustbins - I'll keep my eyes open.

Actually I just anyhow click a page in the general forum and read this post. :D
Hmmm.... I think this should be in the equipment page! :p

Well they do sell towel grips in big rolls in a shop in Singapore. Around S$12 for a roll that can grip about 20-22 rackets. This means it costs about S$0.50 per towel grip!
