today, i restring my MP55 with BG80 (last string was BG85) and i strung it at 22 - 24 i dont where is main and cross so i string it like this: 22lbs | (i hope this was main) 24lbs -- (i hope this was cross) where | means vertical and -- means horizantal. i would like to string my racket at a main 22lbs and cross 24lbs and i afraid i might me mistaken about the main and cross position. so tell me... is the main and cross position correct? anyway, is BG-80 any better than BG-85 besides that BG-80 is much more power and durable? tell me.
Yeh I just learned myself what it was and what you mentioned was correct. Don't you think your cross tension might be a tad high? They're usually like 2-3 lbs lighter than the main tension.
Exactly the opposite !!! Cross (horizontal) is about 2 lbs higher than main (vertical). Therefore, u should have a combination like 22 (Main) *24 (Cross)
Doh.. sorry bout that. Live and learn. Had my strings redone toady and she said it is usually 2pounds more than the main. Thanks .
