My friend and I were discussing who the best players in America are. I know there are a lot of good players such as Holvy De Pauw, Howard Bach, Chandra, Jacky Zhang, Quang Minh Nguyen, Arnold Setidati, Sattawat Pongnairat, Tony Gunawan, Howard Shu,Lee Hock Lai and the list goes on and on. I was wondering who you guys think are the top US players. I know some players specialize at certain events, so you can split them into their respective categories of singles, mixed, or doubles.

I'm so lucky to watch Holvy, Quang Minh Nguyen, Phu and Chris Flores practice and play against each others during lunch hour at Bintang. Most people just stopped playing and watch these free pro level matches. :)

..those are the current ones (some or even some of them are "imports", used to play for another country/baddy association)....On the ladies side, we have Johanna Lee, Lily Zhou (now Liliane Chow), Grace Peng, Eva Lee, May Mangkalakiri, Cee Ketpura to name a few...
In comparison, the U.S. was one of the top teams from the late 40s to mid-late 60s..
