So i had a go at making a mini shuttle out of 2 we battered last night. I made them out of 1 Yang Yang 300B and 1 JinQue AAA. Before the shuttle i must say i prefer the Yang Yang, they seem to fly so much better, are more durable and go in the direction you hit them. Onto the shuttle and several nicks with a stanley knife and the arduous task of cutting through goose feathers, and getting the tough glue off i came up with this Just got to go out and get a keychain then glue it....
You are right. Begging your pardon. That is the cutest little shuttle I have ever seen sitting in front of a obscene pile of marmite.
How long did it take you to make that toy-shuttle? And does it fly well? (decoration or not, you surely have whacked it about, yes?)
Not whacked it about yet as i am waiting to get some keychains for it, put thread around it and glue in place. Might whack one i make around though. It didn't take long to make, about 2 hours. Dependent on the condition of the shuttles you need 2 or 3 to make one. The hard part is cutting through the stems, the glue and stems together are bloody tough. Lining up the feathers is tricky as well. You get around to the last one only to find half the shuttle looks wonky compared to the other side. Orders 10 keychains off ebay so gonna make quite a few, might make up a little ebay shop for them
Three shuttles in two weeks. With worker productivity like that we could make you an honorary Canadian. Honestly though, keep it up. They are quite good and you should be able to sell a few as nice gifts.
well i play twice a week and wreck shuttles so 16 feathers need to survive. Making them as gifts for people at the club i am leaving soon.
I saw this similar mini shuttlecock keychain or accessory in 1 of the sports shop at toa payoh lor 1 near the bradell mrt exit row of shophouse....heheh
