..actually i was cheering for Lu Lan (limsy please don't beat me up) and thought it would be deja vu all over again for Tai TY like last yr when she lost in the QF...also, actually wasn't planning to record it, esp. after Lu Lan had match pt in hand..but decided to record it anyway and just so happen Tai TY made a stunning come back and surprised everyone by winning the last 5 pts; i thought the close line call near the end might've affected Lu Lan somewhat..

An article from Taiwanese newspaper:
http://udn.com/NEWS/SPORTS/SPOS9/6469111.shtml
some translation:
She text her parent after winning US Open, "hahaha I won, I'm going to have dinner now".
Her parent started taking TTY to badminton when she was 3 years old and her older sister when she was 5.
When she was 5th grade, she was tired of training, after several months, she did voluntarily start training again.
she injured her wrist in PE when she was in Junior High, she stopped training for 10 months.
Her dad mentioned that TTY does not like studying, he told her that "since you don't like studying, badminton is you only
chance" (what a cool dad, not many Asian parent would do this).

The Reason why Tai Tzu Ying withdraw for this Championship is because:
Due to insufficient rest after a long flight, tzu ying felt unwell and has withdrawn from the World Championships 2011. On behalf of the fan club, i would like to wish her a speedy recovery. I also thank all of you for your continual support for tzu ying. Hopefully she'll be back better and stronger for her next tournament in Vietnam.

Guess Tai Tzu Ying was suffering stomach bloating/pain (胃漲氣) during the flight and had to go to the hospital after arriving and couln't make it
to the match, so she had to withdraw. Not sure why Taiwanese team didn't plan on getting to London earlier, but on Sunday (10 hours before
the match).
