what should I do with my slippery shoes ? Very desperate in playing with this yonex shoes. If I wash it, will it help ? Or the rubber sole also have some life-span ? anybody can advise me ?
Its probably the hall you play in. Generally I find the yonex shoes have good grip. Get some paper towels or a towel/cloth of sum sort and wet it and wipe ur feet on it every so often and you will find you have great grip. I have to do this myself in a dusty hall I play in and it works well
Rub your shoe on some carpet or water to clear the dust on the sole of your shoe if you that doesnt work it could be the court.
Indeed, as already suggested bring a towel/cloth/paper which you can moist and use to clean of your soles when playing. I seldom remember to do this so I just spill a few drops of water on the ground, far away from court, and step on it until a bit of grip is regained. Also it is good now and then, once a year at least, to carefully use some soap to clean and/or sandpaper to rugg the sole a little. In the end the sole will harden and lose grip because that's what happens with rubber, natural causes..... /mats
I had a pair of yonex that I had used soo much I had worn them down and the plastic in the arch of the shoe was contacting the floor making me slip. But it's probably just a wet newspaper you need.
water works great, your shoes will be squeaking loudly for a few minutes after I usually go wipe them off with some paper towel and water if it's slippery. I was looking for some shoe grip spray but so far have found nothing. I guess sweeping the court is probably more effective
