    Good luck to LCW

Hopefully he can redeem himself after the disappointing loss to Sony at the Singapore open...

Battle of the qualifiers, Ana vs Sayaka.....lets see if Ana can continue her run.

Nova/Butet should have the upper hand against the Polish pair. Hendra/Anastasia vs the Koreans should be interesting as well.

Sony seemed to be in good form, but I do believe LCW will still have the edge. Hopefully istora fans can neutralize that :D

Saina en route for her third final in a row o_O
But perhaps Eriko is fresher and can easily win that time :)

I am still so surprised that Ana Rovita can defeat Maria Kristin! :p That's the 1st time since 2003 that any of Maria's younger PB. Djarum clubmate can defeat her... :p Not since the days of Ellen Angelina and Dian Novita... :p

BWF world ranking for a player does not shoot up just by reaching a semi / final of an SS. It takes time to gather points to reach the top.

It depends on the initial ranking ;)
If like last week in WS in Singapore a +100 ranked girl reach the last rounds of a Ss event her ranking will suddenly be much better ;)

if i ain't mistaken, she's currently at 246 rank based on the latest standing of it, i think her semifinal run (6420 pts added) will boost her upto around 140 rank (10.300an pts) and will be higher if she's able to go further..

Nothing really with home ground advantage. Sony is one of the most mentally prepared players in the circuit, LCW is one of the most physically prepared type.

Sony's win against LCW in Singapore was one of the most impressive I've ever seen. Unlike previously when LCW was already running at a disadvantage and playing catchup (2007/2009 World Championships), this time Sony turned the tables midway in game 2 and game 3. Once Sony grabs the initiative, he hardly ever lets go.

Although, I do want Sony to go through to the final, I think LCW will be more prepare this time and has a slight advantage due to his speed and stamina.

For the other MS, I hope NTM can make an upset against TH but it won't be easy as TH usually plays well with homeground support.

Lastly, I am also cheering for Hendra Setiawan to go through the final and win the title in mixed. This is probably his second time, if not first, playing mixed in a big tournament and he has done well to get this far.

    Prediction for LCW vs Sony
50-50 match, just like the Singapore Open.
I noticed that LCW has a habit of winning the first game in commanding form, but slows down in the second?
