Playing Badminton without doing any footwork

We are now able to play Badminton without doing any footwork.

Just found this link for our BCers prefering to do only fingerwork. :):):)

while commendable for at least thinking about badminton. the actual game play doesn't look that great...

The game looks more like Tennis

    .
Thanks kwun for adding the embedded video. :):):)

The game looks more like Tennis. There are more strokes played underarm than overhead.

This is hilarious. Did I see Roger [Federer] as one of the players?

If Roger Federer is there, then Tennis becomes the video game

There is a Roger but he is British.

I just bought the game so a quick review

    Price: 2.99

So i started out playing a quick game and i was a bit confused. Controls are easy and simple enough, but surely not that simple that every drop shot i played won me a point. Even more confused when the set ended at 11 points.

I won the game with ease and then looked at the settings. You have to change from 11 to 21 and i preceded to put the game on hard. So i will review the game on hard, there is no point on easy. There is also a Super Hard and Super Easy difficulty for me to try.

I began a tournament and actually found its not too bad of a game. There are 8 players, 4 girls, 4 guys from various countries. The controls are simple. D Pad for moving and 3 symbols for shots, an arrow bent up for high/clear, one bent down for low/drop and a lightning bolt for smashes. Its very easy to move around the court and shots are quite nice.

Smashes are quite hard to get right, you smash early and your opponent will return it, you smash late and you will hit the net. Though i did hit a couple that clipped the top and dropped over, nice touch to the game i thought. The tilt is good as well as to shot placement, just have to remember to do it. There is an arrow up the top to show where its gonna go. Its not like tennis at all as none of the shots or the way its executed looks or feels remotely like it.

There are a lot of problems though. The shuttle does fall very close to the opponent and he completely misses it. Sometimes he rarely ventures from his service court. It is a very easy game to win, i found i was only losing points to my own stupidity and trying out smashes. I am sure there will be a fair few software updates coming to make the game better but for a new game its not all that bad. Will while away the time between playing real matches for a bit of fun. The star ratings for players seem to mean nothing at the moment, you could really beat anyone with anyone.

For £2.99 its not a bad price at all, i am happy with it and hopefully will see some updates.

Yer i was a little disappointed with that. I know last names would be a no without rights but they could have made their first names the same real players.

The other thing is, no Malaysian player?

I tried it on Super Hard. Does get a little tricky if you don't concentrate.

Having played Super Hard this game is well worth it, only worth playing on Hard or above.

They return you're smashes, have you running around the court. They even manage to return a few that just clip the net!

If you get really good at the game you can even use the smash on their drop shots and do push shots.

    An update to the game?

    .
Sorry I haven't played it before. What is meant by "AI" movement?:confused::confused:

Hope that there are more strokes played overhead than underarm now.

It appears that they do. The computer player seems to attempt drops more often rather than it falling low and just dinking it over.

Currently, this video game is rather slow

    .
I would say that if more overhead shots can be played, then this video game requires us to play it faster.

Currently, this video game is played rather slow.:eek::eek:

Needs to be played on Super Hard to get any speed out of it but with the new update it is faster
