Hi,

I am Mahesh and I live in Madipakkam. I used to play for Guru Nanak Bhavan Badminton Club and later Kottur Gardens Badminton Club. Due to a shoulder injury I stopped playing about 5 years back. I am working towards getting back to playing.

The reason why I joined this forum is to let know all badminton lovers that there is going to be a new badminton court that's going to come up very soon (mid August) near Velachery. This will be about 3 KM from Nanganallur as it is on the Madipakkam-Velachery main raod.

The club that I mentioned in earlier post is operational since Dec 2012. Recently started badminton coaching program for both beginners and advance players. Coach is Syed Badiuddin a.k.a. Deenu. He has over a decade of experience. He has represented Tamil Nadu state and Madras University, and was a longtime coach of Madras University, IIT Madras, Airport Authority of Inida South Zone, until he started his own coaching academy.

Hope this would benefit the residents of Velachery, Thoripakkam, Perungudi, Adambakkam, Madipakkam, Nanganallur, Medavakkam, Pallikaranai, Keezhkattalai, and other nearby places.

Other facilities available at the club apart from badminton coaching/membership are:
