I have to disagree with some people who say that we only make noise after Mak/Tan wins...
Some of us have been following them since early this year, and even earlier than that. We expected them to make a breakthrough sometime, that's why not super surprised when they beat KKK/TBH, just happy. But they couldn't hold out against Alvent/Hendra. If play up to full potential, sure at least give huge fight.

Seems to be very individualistic play. Not really playing as a team... or fully utilizing their partner. I think it is the nature of their character and could be a big hindrance in moving forward further as a pair.

    just my 2 cents....

i did not see the match but if that is the case

its not good and their potential is not out yet

anyway just let tkh do his job

i think he should have noticed anything missing during this tournament

    he will judge them better

i only caught the 2nd set...

I think TKH is a lone ranger character. Self Improvement guy???? Even as a coach and probably will rub off on the players?

Mak/TWK were too nervous & did not play to their potential/normal standard.

i know very little of him from his one time partner and also coach

i think he has a vision and he has something special that make his coaching a success

he is able to see how doubles are played

what needs to be focus in training and when his players has master that

its just like training when they are actually playing in competition

hope you get what i mean

Individually, I'm very sure they are up to standard.

TKH discovered LYD, and was the one who partnered LYD & JJS, and overall improve certain aspects of their training prog. The Koreans must have thought something of him to want him back after their MD coach resigned (Ha or somebody) .

I'm not Mak/TWK fan but have watched 2 or 3 of their matches before.
TWK's actually has improved a lot(that improvement part showed very little today), I did not think much of him in his junior days, 3 years ago. Still think TWK is more for XD
Mak is talented but need to keep steady(the talent didnt show today), still miss Mak/Teo, more ommph

beside lyd, he created a few more terrors in the korea doubles

as for the combination its still too early to confirm, i think

I had a good impression of Mak when he played U17 singles and doubles in the Cheers Youth International in Singapore back in 2005 and won the U17 doubles title with Lim Khim Wah.

Just to add, Mak/Lim lost in the semifinals of the U19 doubles in the 2006 Cheers Youth International.
