to have hope is not a bad thing..... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/olympics/news/2003/02/05/olympics_tv/
With that many hours of telecast, they should be able to cover at least a little of all the sports. The problem can be knowing specifically when they will show badminton. They may stick it on CNBC at 3 AM without any publicity.
I believe it! My point is--will we know when it's going to be shown? Someone may have to watch or tape every minute of coverage on all the stations to make sure they get it.
Somebody send a link of this thread to NBC. Show them that there are people actually making an appointment to watch badminton on TV in the US in 2004....and we are only at the beginning of 2003. I don't think it's the fact that it is the Olympics that is exciting people. It's that there are actual plans for badminton on TV................
How much coverage will they actually have? Is it just me or does it seem like they only show a lot of coverage of the sports that the U.S. do well in. If they follow the same trend for badminton then we will only see matches involving the U.S.. Which also means we won't get too see anything past the first round . I'm just really cynical when it comes to televised U.S. olympic coverage.
timeless wrote What I want to see are the world's best players play. So if any US player is playing a top ranked player, I would not find seeing that match. I would also like to see a US born player beat a top ranked player but that is very unlikely. I also want to see the semifinals and finals of all events, or at least the long excerpts. Ron
maybe they never show badminton on tv because its too much of a fast pace game... i mean when they smash you probably wont be able to see the bird... its already hard enough to see the tennis games when the smash... so you might not even see the bird when they samsh...
