My coach's racket (which he strung) has 2 coloured strings on it. The horizontal lines are one clour and vertical another colour. But, when played a tournament they didn't allow him to use the racket. Why is this?

The umpires may have deemed it too distracting to his opponents.... that's the only thing I can think of.

thats ridiculous, if an umpire was to deem that too distracting, then how come they can allow stencils for companies logos on the racket, if I have a Yellow string with a Black Victor logo on the strings couldn't someone deem that distracting, I can't really see the difference between that and someone with different coloured cross strings from vertical ones, what happens if someone turns up with a multicoloured racket that changes colour, is that deemed distracting as well !

I have played a county tournament when all my racquets had BG65Ti Yellow and Blue.
The opponents usually commented on my racquets and asked for a better look, but nothing from any umpires.
