BG66M in 100 and 200 metres reels to be exact.

SHBSC5WM is supposed to be a successor to the top grade cushioning of the SHB200WM (which the later is also rumored to be continued in production despite having already been out for 2 years plus since September 2008).

By the way the Voltric 70 has been rumored to be sporting the same trademark black and red colour scheme of 1st gen AT700 and AT900P. The standard spec is 4UG4, compared to the Armortecs' 3UG4. This is going to be one sweet racquet :D

So will it be a brand new range? or will it fall under NS, Arc, AT?

If the 5DX is just a 5 with the 2+4 pattern I will be VERY annoyed - what a cheap and cynnical ploy that would be:).

This Voltric may well be the intended Armortec replacement - I heard from... a source that they were unhappy with the graphite during the testing phase, but apparently they have sorted it. If it IS a 300+/X-Stiff basher I would welcome it: the AT range has been neglected for a long time now.

2007 to be exact Mark. It is going to have to be no less than excellent, to displace my SW35, until then, the order of the 3rd SW35, is on hold. :D

I translated an Indonesian Badminton website (Google translator or course) and a Voltric 70 thread indicated that the VT70 is along the Armortec side of things but made wth "the very latest" in material advancements.

Very exciting in my opinion as the Armortec line has certianly been neglected the past couple of years.

Voltric sounds... o-o nothing like what Yonex would make up for a name . so far its been.. Musclepower, Armortec,Nanospeed,Arcsaber,Carbonex,Isometric..

*hey i just noticed every of their names has the letter "E" in them :D
in my opinion Voltric sounds pretty lame :(

Just in case everyone is still wondering, the name "Voltric" is really just [VOLTage + elecTRIC] :D :D :D

I have been reading around the Chinese badminton forums and to confirm quite a lot of speculations, this racquet IS INDEED going to be a successor for the Armortec series (not sure if the Armortec series will be discontinued though). And what better style than to have the racquet look like the old AT700 and AT900P with the same ultra head heavy, ultra light weight, extra stiff specs PLUS new aerodynamic profile (of Z Slash, Ti10 etc)? There's also reports saying that the shaft will incorporate a new design (some are speculating a Ti Mesh covered shaft :p ).

On a side note, someone pointed out that the first in the recent Yonex racquets series are all named "seven", for instance Armortec 700, Nanospeed 7000, Arcsaber 7. Although IMHO only the AT700 outperformed the others in the series compared to the other "sevens".

:D 5% more power! BP ~295ish perhaps (lower than 900P apparently). Anyone registered at AT700.com by any chance? :p
