The split drop in other sports

    If you have read the article about footwork at badmintonbible, then I'm sure that you are familiar with the term ' split drop ' , which is an essential element in badminton footwork. But i wonder whether the awesome split drop is applicable to other sports and why don't top players from other sports use it? ( Ex. Goalkeeper using slit drop the moment the shooter kicks the ball / in squash the moment the opponent hits the ball / Tennis , etc etc)

    The split step is widely used in tennis when receiving serves. If you watch professional tennis players, they always take a short hop before they receive the serve. Same goes to tennis players when they're at the net.

    Do you really think split is badminton only?!? Everywhere you need to change direction quickly you can use it: watch Christiano Ronaldo for example, or volleyball backcourt or basketball ...
