Dear All pardon for this noob question but i am curious with the code on cone. How many different types are there. JP - Japan TW - Taiwan CN - China ? SP - ? Thanx All
sorry just gotten this infos : AS - Australia BR - Brazil BX - Belgium/Netherlands CD - Canada CH - China CN/CP - Chinese National Team DK - Denmark FR - France GR - Germany HK - Hong Kong ID - India IN/IP - Indonesia JP - Japan KR - Korea MA - Malaysia NZ - New Zealand SD - Sweden SP - Singapore SW - Switzerland TH - Thailand TW - Taiwan UA - United Arab Emirates UK - United Kingdom US - USA
I don't think that SP denotes 'Singapore' as SP rackets are not restricted to just being sold here. izwanj_79 notes that SP rackets are sold in Malaysia and I have personally seen them predominately sold in both Hong Kong as well as here in Singapore. I believe it is more accurate to state that SP stands for 'South Pacific'. If memory serves, I also believe that there are already many existing threads asking about the SP coding.
SP is South Pacific, you can get SP coded rackets in most Asian countries, as well as that countries distribution code, e.g. in Thailand rackets will have TH codes, however some shops may also have SP and IP codes. IP stands for International Player
Let me needlessly prolong this thread as well . IP is not International Player and Yonex Thailand doesn't fall under the Yonex Sunrise distribution region and now can we have a lock on .
Sorry IP stands for International Pacific, you can get SP rackets in India as well a the ID codes rackets. If I got a $ for every time someone asked this question I would have a lot of money.
SP is Singapore. the reason is that Sunrise Singapore is a large regional distributor of racket in many SE Asian countries like HK, Malaysia and Singapore. All rackets that goes to Sunrise Singapore are SP (Singapore) coded and then they sub-distribute them to other countries. this is the reason why HK/MAS has SP rackets. I was told this by a HK retailer who has been in business for 30+ yrs and deals with Sunrise.
its because its used by the chinese national team. generally theyre collecters items and has usually has better quality then other coded rackets,
Just like the super rare MA code for Malaysian National Team. Only a few "outsiders" can get their hands on them. (Some forum members here do belong to this lucky league) Having said that, this is nothing new, for new comers to BC up there, please use the "search" function, a lot has been discussed before on the distribution code, like SP, IP, TH, etc. etc. Let's help a bit in reducing redundancy in threads and save the space of our forum space.
-- off-topic -- Btw, did u see the thread (referral) I posted regarding Ti-10 gen 1 & 2 (CP coded) fetching so much in the current market? Are you among the lucky ones who's got a dozen Ti-10 in storage (I reckon u used to be a Ti-10 guy)? Man, you have to be laughing all the way to the bank!
Don't you think as a bad boy in this forum who can't stop talking, i will be so quiet at your posting? It is because, i don't have any Ti-10, because it is not my cup of tea. Secondly, i do owned a Ti-10 Sec Gen (the yellow one) sometime back, IP coded some more, but generously sold it to one of our fellow forum member here, who has a reasonable good collection of Ti-10 and some AT700 olds kekekekeke. (you know who i am refering to out there, you) But to be honest, even in China here, 1st Gen Ti-10 is only fetching a mere RMB3-4k , not USD1k, and the ti-10 Sec Gen (which by the way are not as rare as 1st gen because in HK they are still quite easily found) are fetching way below that. So i am thinking the source of yours is a seller, and not a buyer. Just my 2 cents. A ti-10 guy huh ? Hehe Nah, more of Carbonex move onto MP series guy. and now, u know it, Arc ZzzzzzzZealots. Sorry for off topic.
