Its a long time coming and Im wanting to ask which Yonex racket sells the most in the modern era of full carbon racket? And here's the list that I think are the good candidates: MP99 MP100 AT700 AT900T AT900P Ti10 CAB20 ARC10 ARC ZS NS9900 Did i miss something? Is the another famous/popular model? It would be fantastic if someone who has insight information from YY and share it with us
I would say that maybe Yonex Carbonex 8 , Yonex Carbonex 9 or Yonex Carbonex 21 even though none of this racket are from the modern era but hell it is damn popular back in the 80's and 90's.
Yes i got one of those too, and had it in mind putting it on the list but not sure if its that popular
Yes thats right, it looked like everyone was using one of those back in the old days. My very first racket was YY Blacken. The reason Im not putting the older models is, they were not much choice at that time. It was like Yonex came out with one model each time and almost certain everyone would get them. Whereas, more recently, Yonex introduce models more frequently and therefore we have much more choices to choose from.
HAHAHA..... i still kept well my YY blacken and Blacken II in my badminton bag. What a classic racket
based on that information on why your not listing older models then shouldnt you change your origional question? since "best selling of all time" would be inclined to include the older models. are you more interested in just fining out the best selling recquet of the current lines that have been released within the past 3-4 years? since "full carbon era" includes quite a few more high end yonex racquets that were widley used, not tring to pick it apart or be mean or anything was just curious thats all.
The Ti10 has been around since 1997 I think. And it's still the one of the most popular rackets sold in Asia so they must have sold a lot in the intervening 13 years. It's still sometimes tops the best seller list on sites like mybadmintonstore.com.
Well the main reason i did not put it up is because to me its almost a certainty that Cab series will top the chart since YY only had a few model back then and they always sought after by people. Therefore its somewhat a bit unfair to compare them with the current models. But you know, I could be wrong, perhaps Ti10 may out sell Cab 8 or Cab 9.
Good on you bro. I should have kept mine since i have many funny memories (like how i smash my girl friend, and then we broke up lol) with it.
After upgrading from Blacken II to Carbonex 8 (i think around early 80's and still remember the racket cap written B-8500 if i'm not mistaken )... i tell you bro, the racket was so overwhelmingly majestic to me at that time, even to the extent that i didn't dare to use it for nearly half a year....until i retired my Blacken II then i dare to use it......even my father want to borrow also i didn't give it to him
Those days if I remember correctly, it was YY6500 and YY9100, YY for Yoneyama, then the Blacken or 8100. After that, the Carbonex series. Sort of giving your age away!!!
I remembered that after using my precious Cab. 8 for some time, suddenly one tragic day while playing, i lost grip of it and knocked smashed it against the floor making it unusable:crying::crying:. I went to my regular badminton shop, ask the guy inside there for a new racket frame and...whallllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......... he managed to attached it at it's "T" junction after welding it!!!!!!!!!..............impossible for any modern era racket to be repaired in such scenario
Indeed......i change from Cab 8 to Cab 9 and stick with it for a loyal 25 long years before changing it to Armortec.....................
how many 'working' sticks of cab9 u still own? i still own 2. one with pinholes on end cap. and the other one the last version of aluminium frame cab9 but with bigger characters on shaft. last bought in 2003-4.
