Hi Guys, The Badminton World Championships is just over a month away and I wanted to inform everyone that we have the streaming rights online for a number of territories in Asia on our platform, www.totalsports.tv. It will be offered free in the early stages. We are now working out the coverage, whether from day 1 or from quarterfinals onwards. In the meantime, be sure to sign up, as you will be notified via our newsletter later. Stay tuned. J P/S: We are also streaming LIVE, the US Open Tennis 2010 at Total Sports TV!
Hello all, just to let you know that the first couple of days, 23rd August to 26th August 2010, we will be streaming the event FREE and LIVE to the following territories - Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Dubai, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Lebanon, Qatar, Yemen, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea http://www.totalsports.tv/Sports/Badminton/Events/2010-Badminton-World-Championships.aspx Although I'm a Malaysian, I'm looking forward to see Lin Dan in action. I still have images of him doing THAT robot dance after beating Lee Chong Wei. I was sitting next to the commentators, just meters away from the court!
Btw, i hope the server can stand the strong bandwidth connection from viewers from those countries who's watching it. Hope it won't keeps lagging and buffering?
Yeah, fingers crossed for that. It's difficult to find a solution that works for all territories as the connection and stability varies greatly. If there's any problems during the coverage, contact info.tv@totalsports.tv and I'll work with our technical providers to sort it out.
donno which thread you're watching, so here the same question again: when will it be available in Europe? it's a mess, thought your were going to take over the service we got for long time by WoB. After Thomas Cup there was simply nothing and it looks there will be nothing we can watch in Europe. What's the problem? You don't care about areas outside Asia-Pazific ? Don't hope so.
Hi kuwichert, as mentioned in the other thread, the rights for Europe is still with WOB for 2010 as we only have rights for Asia. From 2011 onwards, we have the worldwide rights for the Super Series. It's not that we do not care about areas outside of Asia Pacific, to be frank, our expertise has very much been in Asia in the past. Recently we have changed our focus to win global rights instead carving out territories, unless it's the rightsholder's choice. That's why from 2011, we will have more territories available.
But WoB had the rights only until Thoms/Ueber Cup ? they have shut down because they don't have the rights anymore??
hi totalsportstv Can you please confirm regarding the live streaming for Australia, would it be available? There is a conflicting msg on www.totalsports.tv about this. Thank you
We just did some testing on the streaming today at www.totalsports.tv, and it looks like we'll be going with the 480x270 screen size to tackle potential streaming issues as the 640 setup made the stream look very pixelated. We will be running 2 streams - 800k and 400k and the player will auto-detect your connection speed and set the stream accordingly for you to watch it for FREE!
dear total, I've noticed on http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...2164E2-8D5A-414A-8D71-748A49C68A3E&d=20100823 that there will be two tv-courts available from day one on. which is the one, you're trying to cover. do you think astro supersports will cover the other one? such a shame it seems that bet365 will show any badminton not before QF :-(
