Personally I don't like to buy these brands of badminton T-shirts. Reason being the design and quality of Yonex and Victor badminton T-shirts are super lousy. Li-Ning is slightly better than the other two brands, the prices don't look attractive though. However, they are the traditional T-shirts for badminton for so many years.
How many of you will buy the Nike Tennis T-shirts or the Adidas T-shirts(for training, soccer, running, etc) for your badminton games? The design is definitely much better and different than Yonex/Victor/Li-Ning but the price doesn't come cheap as well.

Shouldn't this be in the clothings forum? Anyways, yes I do wear the Yonex, and Victor badminton shirts.

I wear loads of different shirts depending on which ones are on the top of the clothing pile.
I have a few Adidas football shirts that work as good badminton shirts.
I think all companies are charging a bit too much for their shirts at the moment.

Coming from heavy and serious tennis during my high school and uni days, i do agree that tennis clothing are a bit different than badminton. Traditional tennis clothing such as Sergio Tachini, Wilson, etc are mostly 100% cotton and in white, which are very cooling and sweat absorbant. then, Nike and Adidas came into the picture but dominate the tennis clothing industry quickly. Between the 2, i myself prefer the Adidas ClimaCool series, butthey are not cheap as well.
As for Badminton clothing, i bag to differ that Yonex/Victor T shirt are inferior. It all depends which country code clothing you are referring. The Sunrise SP version clothing for Yonex, yes to some extend are not as good, but to me they are still decent enough to wear for a 2-3 hours serious badminton game in tropical weather countries. However, if it is the JP Yonex clothing, they are totally of different class and i must say they are comparable to Adidas Clima Cool material and are so nice and gentle to your skin, even though sweat absorbant is ...well IMOP not as good as a 100% Cotton T-shirt , of any brand.
But for the sake of styling, design, and the fact that our national team idol, or your personal favorite international player wear the same clothing is enough to push a lot of us (including myself :p) to buy them. Talk about the power of commercialisation, marketing and endorsement.

I wear Victor shoes, Thorlo socks, Victor shorts and Mizuno shirts. Personally, these are okay because (and assuming playing in air-conditioned halls/arenas) the kind of sweat wicking is a lot more different from the mostly outdoor tennis venues.

Badminton is right up there with golf and cycling in terms of having the most incredibly ugly clothing fashions, plus ALL polyester is nasty, plus anything with a major brand logo (esp. Yonex) makes you look like you're trying way too hard. A decent 100% cotton T-shirt is just better in every way.

It's time for Yonex to up their design for their accessories like T-shirts and badminton bags.

In my opinion, a few years ago, Yonex had nice designs on their clothing and bags. It was simple but it was good. Today, I much prefer Victor clothing ad they're less expensive and they look nice. The quality is comparable to the VC of Yonex (CH VC shirts, not JP).

IMHO polyester is so much better than cotton. I wear the same polo shirts for Tennis and Badminton.

Cotton is better for everyday casual/office/school wear but doesn't wick moisture as well as polyester from the body in a heavy sweating session like badminton.

    But it's personal preference.

Yonex shirts are okay~ish in quality but their designs are mostly terrible. Li-Ning shirts have better design and are also high quality. I still wear Yonex shoes, but prefer Nike or Adidas shirts. You get top quality materials and good designs. My favourite light tops are Nike distance running tops. They weigh almost nothing and keep you super dry.

I do wear yonex and victor apparel but whenever I wanted to buy, I tend to stop myself because by wearing it won't help me in game like smashing increase 10%. LOL! :D

IMO, as long as the material is comfy then I would just wear it regardless the brands. The quality of yonex apparel is good if you are getting from JP.

agree! Wearing the shirts would not help us in smashing. Haha... I do wear Li Ning and Yonex shirts to play badminton, I personally feel that Li Ning's quality is better than Yonex's. Especially the China team TUC 2010 shirt, I like the quality so much!

You are China supporter... wait until you try Yonex JP version. I do agree that Yonex's quality is not that good... that is the SP versions. The only SP version that is good and value for money is Taufik Hidayat Line..

I wear what feels comfortable when I play, and for me, thats Yonex, Victor, and Li Ning Shirts - I dont really like cotton shirts because I sweat a lot in singles and they kinda cling to my skin, which is really uncomfortable. Polyester shirts are often drier. The Yonex and Victor design could be better though :S
I have some table tennis shirts as well, but all but one are way heavier than the badminton shirts and feel way too hot after some time.
