World No 1 Lee Chong Wei and Olympic champion Lin Dan, the two most fearsome rivals in badminton, could face off in the semi-finals of the World Championships on Aug 23-29. Chong Wei, as expected, is the top seed followed by Denmark's Peter Gade Christensen. Either of them will face Lin Dan in the semis.

Can the top seed or the Dane crash the Big Wall of China?

The thread title "Enter The Dragon" reminds me about Bruce Lee's blockbuster movie in early 70's :D

    Apparently not:
It is irritating but Korea gets nothing, again. Thankfully, we did have access to the total sports broadcast (all pay-per-view) for the Uber Cup. I'm guessing SBS has done its trick again and bought the rights to the WC. Read: Wait & C. Last year, they blocked live footage in Korea and instead showed the last game and a half of the 3-game MD final at midnight, 2h after all the matches had finished.

Sorry guys, we only have rights to Asia. For South Korea, I have to admit it was an oversight in my part of not including this as the rights have not been sold and will be available live on Total Sports TV. Apologies on that.

Oh my. This is interesting. Korea and Malaysia have both been added to the list, and we get the last 3 rounds for US$3 and the previous 3 for free! Thanks for the update and for correcting the info page on the website.

In a way, there is still cause to lament the loss to the Korean public if no one has even bought the rights but as I said, they never show anything live here apart from Korea Open, Olympics and sometimes the Asian Games (though not in '06). Hence, the totsports offering is a very welcome improvement on this side of the Pacific. I'll definitely be forwarding this information to Badminton Times and to the BKA. Hopefully they will publicize it for Korean viewers. There were complaints to the BKA when the Uber Cup went completely uncovered on Korean television.

You're most welcome. Anyway, you are able to watch a short video of the Korean winning the Uber Cup. I was the cameraman and it was ... probably the best feeling..to capture one of the historic moment in Badminton! Here's the link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1nHGihEEa0

Korea…Korea..Korea…still vividly in my mind….perhaps, will be long remembered by everyone. They showed tremendous fighting spirit and gritty display to dispose China's long time reign as undisputed Queen of world Women Badminton during the last Uber Cup. Do you think they can repeat their feat in the coming championships?
