me too. I think they should put Eiffel Tower instead of Dragon and Phoenix. The dragon and phoenix are kinds of Asian goddess of mercy represent, but not the Europe.
Another problem is... the chinese word for Paris is incorrect... Its almost like the chinese word for Bali, Indonesia... instead of Paris... From what I learned, it shud be: 巴黎 = Paris 巴厘岛 = Bali Island 巴里 = something new to me
Yes, you are correct regarding about the Chinese interpretation. However, I suspect the writings are Japanese kanji instead of normal Chinese characters. The way they arrange 2010 with chinese charater is a bit weird, although it still make sense(we usually said 二零一零年 instead of 二千十年). The top right phrase make absolutely no sense to me in chinese, although they are Chinese characters-世界选手权(can't type traditional chinese character hence the difference in last character) literally means 'World players' rights' which I have no clue what they are trying to say. This leads me to deduce that the above 巴里 might be Japanese's way of saying Paris in kanji.
