Rough translation:
Victor sponsored players Lee Yong Dae and NTM took time off from their preparations for the Taipei Open to attend a Victor racquet demonstration. Both players were full of praise for the new racquets which will be launched in 2011. (See separate post on NTM's comments on the Spira 22)

This new racquet has been customized to Lee Yong Dae's needs. As Lee Yong Dae considers himself more of a delicate technical player, he feels that this new racquet, compared to his current racquet Brave Sword 09, has a faster swing speed and his smashes are more powerful and he is more inclined to attack.

ps. this is a rough translation. to the BC members who can read Chinese, please feel free to amend the translation.

they all say the same thing about the racquet "faster swing, more powerful smash", honestly.. kind of boring from the same marketing over and over again.

"faster swing, more powerful smash"...isn't it same as Yonex Nanospeed 9900?

Victor was going to use the pitch "Buy our new racket. It's pretty." but they decided against it.

I read in the December issue of the Chinese Badminton magazine and it was confirmed by Victor that the racquet tested by Lee Yong Dae was a prototype Meteor X80.

We shall see if he indeed will use the X80 in the near future.
