    Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi [2] did well, reaching the Finals today.

    Unfortunately, they were defeated;

    Valeri Sorokina/Nina Vislova [1] defeated Matsutomo Misaki/Ayaka Takahashi [2] 22-20, 21-18

    Arrow 2011 US Open Grand Prix Gold

    .
    Not good.

    Just minutes ago, at the 2011 US Open GPG, Misaki Matsutomo/Kenichi Hayakawa were defeated in Round 1 by Shin Baek Choel/Kim Min Jun (KOR) quite easily (scores: 05-21, 17-21 in 26 minutes)

    In about 4 hours' time, Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi will be facing another Korean pair, Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na [8]. This will be a tough match for Misaki to win too.

    ..to all Misaki's fans, if you guys have any insights, quick inquiry about Misaki being sponsored by Wilson. Is she using Wilson rackets or strings or both?thanks..saw her playing with a Wilson logo on her racket's stringbed in the recent U.S. Open..

    Yeah, noticed that she's using a wilson racket now... Probably it's because of the club in Japan that she plays.

    That's a good idea. I was just thinking about it. The Japanese fans search for their sports stars using kanji names instead of English ones, so I suppose the viewership for this thread will probably increase even more

    Thumbs up 2011 World Championships: 4 JPN WD pairs have qualified

    .
    It's great that Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi have qualified as the 4th JPN WD pair at the 2011 World Championships.

    http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sp...4FAEB4D&draw=4

    On Monday, 08-Aug (Round 1), they have a Bye.

    On Tuesday, 09-Aug (Round 2), they will face either Ng Hui Ern/Ng Hui Lin (MAS) or Anna Kobceva/Elena Prus (UKR).

    I think Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi can make it to Round 3, where they should expect to find their teammates, Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna [3], waiting for them.
