I am an adult business person from Canada, and will be in Tokyo during the next two weeks, August 22 to September 5. I am interested in playing badminton during this time. I am an intermediate player, have played for four years, and would like to play some mixed / doubles games. I am not interested in singles matches.

I will be in the Shibuya / Shinjuku area. Are there any places close by that I can play some games?

Sorry, I do not know any Japanese.

    Thank you!

    Conrad

You may try the badminton club "By the Way" in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo.
Last year I lived in Itabashi-ku, I have played in there for a few times.

The website have English and you can contact with
    YAMAGUCHI Ichiro using English.

PS:From Shinjuku to nearby train station about 20~30mins
From nearby train station to the place they play about 10~15mins walk.

    Hi Conrad,

I have asked the man in charge already.
He said no problem ^^, but I should go with you in case he need some translation.

PS: you have to prepare your own racket and a pair of in-door shoes and water.
I will go there on Tue and Sat 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
We can meet in the train station at Akabane if you like. (about 6:45pm)

    Hey guys and gals!

I'm in Tokyo for the week and leaving Monday 16th May. I will be staying in Akasaka from Tuesday 10th May for 3 nights. Then will find somewhere else to stay for the weekend. Any recommendations for places to play near where I am or near the central city? How much does it cost? Opening hours?

Do you have badminton gyms here? I played in one in south korea last week and enjoyed just being able to stay in the gym and keep playing and playing. I'm looking to train and do singles practice while I'm here..

I also have a friend in futakoshinchi who is interested in playing. Any recommendations for him? Is there a big list of places to play badminton in Tokyo?

    Thanks!

Hopefully see and play with some of you when I'm here otherwise GG.
