I can post some, but I don't own a DSLR so the pics are going to be crappy.
Too bad ctjcad won't be there tonight.

..so, this is what i heard (from a friend who was there):
- It was a wall-to-wall, packed house. With almost no inch spared...
- They had to use several parking spaces from next door businesses because there were so many cars...
- They rented this high, bleacher seatings, and put them around the playing court
- They had catering food served (what they served, that we have to wait for the pics)
..too bad i missed it but can't wait to see the pics and videos..

I've uploaded the pictures to an album. I set it to public so you should be able to access it. Sorry for the reverse order, I arranged it ascending but it is ordering it descending :S so you'll need to go through the pictures backwards....

I'll post a summary of the event tomorrow, time for bed now....

coolness!!!..pretty dope!!..thanks for capturing and posting the pics!
btw, did you shake LD's hand??..
In one of the pics, LD must've said to BCL : "They have badminton in the U.S.?!?!"..Last edited by ctjcad; 09-01-2010 at 01:33 AM.

photos by Bubbles
couldn't take pics of the food, they were covered but it was nice decco, I forgot to take pictures of that, line was moving. Also I have to say since I was one of the later people to arrive thanks to my work, I couldn't get a good seat to take pictures from both sides. ABC management was making it hard for me since I didn't ask earlier in advance and didn't ask Chris to clear it with them :_(, no press pass no access :_(. William one of the managers later did gimme some space to take photos but oh well I made due already. My experience in this was a bit negative but I'm glad the photos came out palatable?

the event really didnt afford any good opportunity to get autographs or pictures with LD or BCL ( unless you are a volunteer or have VIP status). i even had a little laugh when i saw a guy trying to get an autograph from LD being shoved away by an organizer wearing a white polo shirt- i told my friend sitting beside me "thats what you get for wearing a yonex shirt" and we both laughed.
cant understand much from the program- it was in cantonese or mandarin. maybe because 95% of the crowd were chinese
i hope the people at menlo park get a better experience for their $20 and at least get a reasonablel opportunity to get close to their favorite players. i estimate the crowd to be about 300. maybe a little more or less.
but no doubt about it LD and BCL really enjoyed this experience as much as the crowd enjoyed it.
