I played at Kebun Bahru CC in Ang Mo Kio last weekend and it was as good as playing outdoors. :crying: I also find courts at these locations windy:
    Yishun Sports Hall
    Clementi Sports Hall
    Yu Ying Secondary School

How's Sengkang and Woodlands Sports Hall nowadays?

Do you know of any other locations which are windy? Would appreciate your invaluable input. Thanks.

Windy vs glaring or windy and glaring

We ever play before on a weekday afternoon @ Clementi Sports Hall last year.
So happen it rained, and there is no diff from playing outdoors. We had to estimate where the shuttle will drop:D
Never see the hall is windy at night, perhaps that is why Ah Peng hold his session there at night:D

Ever Been Woodlands Sports Hall last year, the only complain we wished to say is that the lights are glaring (got at least a big spot light:Dmay be is 2) and that is why we posted that SPRC lights are not glaring:D
Woodlands could have improved as they renovated but not sure if they improve on the lights:D
Could have, cos we understand the court is utilized by YOG:)
In fact,SPRC is one of the best court we ever play:)

Been to Seng Kang Sports Hall about 2mths ago but didn't find it windy as mentioned by many, perhaps it is seasonal:) But the hall is very difficult to access to.

However, Hougang Sports Hall is windy in the afternoon during the visit on this National day.
The court nearest to the "window" is not able to use, very windy.
Our court being beside the "windy" court is slightly affected by the wind too.

Delta is not windy but the lights are at times glaring.
There is one time they had more warm white light than day light, and that make viewing easier.
Currently is more day light than warm white, which make it a bit glaring when we look up.

Apart from wind, earth, water, wood, fire and metal elements also need to be considered....:

woodlands - wind - curtain at entrance flies up like Marilyn Monroe's skirt whenever wind turns gusty

Gombak - Fire- lamps so low and glaring hot , feel like on stage performing getai

Pionner Stadium badminton hall - wood - a maze of courts lined up in rows and blocks to keep players distracted

Yishun Town Secondary school - Earth(ly pleasures?) Judgehead's favourite toothless auntie gatekeeper always pesters for a hug hug...Got to polish PR skills

Sembawang Secondary school Hall - metal - the gate keeper there strict as steel. You play one court means one court. Even court no net also you cannot play there. No Overtime please, we go by the book!

Geylang West CC hall is windy? I don't find it windy when we play there every sat night. I just find the lighting nowadays makes it harder to see the shuttle.:(

    It could be seasonal:)
As when a lot of people say Seng Kang Sports hall windy, we also don't find it to be so but instead Hougang is windy whereas no one complain it is windy.

You could be right about the seasonal part.

The worst sports hall is Clementi Sports Hall, not only its windy, the court is very dirty also!

As for Sengkang sports hall, only the courts at the last row (nearest to the swimming pool) are windy, but the last I heard, they seal up that area where the wind is blowing in, so its not that bad now.

No wonder it is no more that "windy" as most badminton enthusiasts claim:)
But the windy one now is Hougang Sports Hall, the two courts nearer to the "window" are affected:)
SPRC is also seasonal windy:) But is is alright most of the time, lucky.
Thought it is going to windy as feel the wind and was about to play @ 8pm on Tues night yesterday, but it turn out alright.
